This course is designed to provide an ongoing review of current concepts in rehabilitation patient care. Participants will receive an in-depth ongoing review and critique of current articles and publications in the field of rehabilitation. Publications for review are selected by the course director from a regularly scheduled systematic review of current publications pertaining to rehabilitation patient care. Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation will identify and examine new and current guidelines in clinical practice and administrative aspects of rehabilitation patient care; including sports medicine, spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury, stroke, pediatric rehabilitation, prosthetics, pain, and general rehabilitation. Opportunities are provided for multidisciplinary teams to discuss, evaluate and consider the potential application of new information and guidelines to existing practices to improve processes, quality and safety in rehabilitation technology and science.
