Course Registration


The purpose of this program is to present the most current established and emerging technologies. The faculty is composed of experts in the field who will discuss the strengths and limitations of these new advancements.




Upon completion of this course the participant should be able to:
  1. Deliberate the role of Echo in the urgent care of critically ill patients.
  2. Investigate imaging techniques in patients with Aortic disease.
  3. Evaluate Adult and Pediatric congenital heart disease.
  4. Compare new lab accreditation standards and how this impacts work flow and and accuracy.
  5. Examine potential workplace injuries.
  6. Investigate new techniques for treating Mitral valve disease.
  7. Analyze Transcatheter left atrial appendage closure devices.
  8. Learn the role, function and imaging approaches for catheter based circulatory support.

Payment is required at the time of registration. Only registrations accompanied with payment will be accepted. Please register in advance. Fees include course materials, continental breakfast, lunch, refreshments and continuing education credit.

REFUND/CANCELLATION POLICY

A full refund of registration fees, less a $15 administrative fee, will be available if requested in writing and received by February 20, 2018. No refunds will be made after that date. A $30 fee also will be charged for returned checks. (Please note that if you fail to cancel by the deadline and do not attend, you are still responsible for payment.) KU Medical Center Continuing Education reserves the right to cancel the course and return all fees in the event of insufficient registration. The liability of the University of Kansas Medical Center is limited to the registration fee. The University of Kansas Medical Center will not be responsible for any losses incurred by registrants, including but not limited to airline cancellation charges or hotel deposits.

Accreditation

All participants are required to sign attendance rosters at the beginning of each day. A certificate of completion will be provided to all activity participants based on completion of the program evaluation, documentation of actual attendance time, meeting minimum attendance requirements specific to the activity, and payment in full. If you are not paid in full, a link to complete evaluation and get your certificate will be emailed to you upon receipt of payment.

Physicians: The University Of Kansas Medical Center Office Of Continuing Medical Education is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
