Course Registration

In collaboration, neurologists, neurosurgeons, primary care physicians and neurorehabilitation specialists can provide our region’s patients with the newest and best treatment options for complex conditions. Join the neurosciences experts of the region's premier academic medical center along with keynote speakers as we explore the latest medical and technological innovations in neurology and neurosurgery.

Afternoon breakout sessions provide opportunities to drill down into several clinical topics. You may attend all three sessions within one track or select sessions from multiple tracks.

Upon completion of this course the participant should be able to:
  1. Discuss the basic principles, clinical presentations and management options of neurosarcoidosis and related neuroinflammatory disorders.
  2. Describe how chronic recordings of epileptic brain activity can reveal patterns that help explain seizure timing.
  3. Discuss the longer term impact of thymectomy in generalized Myasthenia Gravis.
  4. Identify the use of botulinum toxins in the treatment of spasticity and chronic daily headaches.
  5. Review a practical clinic visit approach for diagnosis and treatment, common issues, framed around the new CPT code and how to use it.
  6. Identify accurately different seizure types, correlate seizure types and progressions with specific epilepsy diagnoses, and use seizure semiology to improve the utility of seizure histories during office visits
  7. Formulate a literature search strategy using PubMED to find high quality studies to answer a clinical question.
  8. Describe how FMRI works and when it can be useful in a clinical setting.
  9. Explain the purpose and limitations of meta-analyses and how to interpret the results.
