The purpose of this course is to provide a state-of-the-art update on advancements in diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy to health professions in the great Midwest region.  Attendees will learn about various endoscopic techniques and technological innovations that can be incorporated into their clinical practice.  Through a series of didactic lectures, video forums and liven endoscopy cases, experts in the field will review the basic and advanced in therapeutic endoscopy.  



Upon completion of this course the participant should be able to:
  1. Discuss and implement treatment of IBD-D and chronic constipation
  2. Diagnose and manage refractory GERD
  3. Institute optimum therapy for chronic hepatitis C and non-alcoholic fatty liver disease
  4. Identify and treat post-transplant biliary complications
  5. Implement optimal management for patients with Crohn's disease
  6. Manage non-dysplastic Barrett's esophagus and low-grade dysplasia
  7. Discuss the different options for colorectal cancer screening
  8. Optimize the treatment of acute pancreatitis and its complications
  9. Recognize the techniques for removal of large colon polyps

FEES

Payment is required at the time of registration. Only registrations accompanied with payment will be accepted. Please register in advance. Fees include course materials, continental breakfast, lunch, refreshments and continuing education credit.

REFUND/CANCELLATION POLICY

A full refund of registration fees, less a $15 administrative fee, will be available if requested in writing and received by April 13, 2018. No refunds will be made after that date. A $30 fee also will be charged for returned checks. (Please note that if you fail to cancel by the deadline and do not attend, you are still responsible for payment.) KUMC Continuing Education reserves the right to cancel the Kansas City Live Endoscopy Course 2018 and return all fees in the event of insufficient registration. The liability of the University of Kansas is limited to the registration fee. The University of Kansas will not be responsible for any losses incurred by registrants, including but not limited to airline cancellation charges or hotel deposits.
