Course Registration


Pulmonary Hypertension is a complex group of medical illnesses that requires concerted multi-specialty care and frequent updates to standard of practice.  Medical providers from multiple specialties encounter these patients and are challenged to keep current with up-to-date practices.  This event is designed for pulmonologists, cardiologists, rheumatologists, internists, hospitalists as well as RNs, APRNs and physician assistants specializing in pulmonary hypertension.  The conferences' intents is to facilitate clinicians' ability to evaluate and manage pulmonary vascular disorders.

The Patient Day for Saturday, September 30th has been cancelled.


Upon completion of this course the participant should be able to:
  1. Recognize patients at risk for or suspected to have pulmonary hypertension
  2. Identify patients with pulmonary hypertension related to connective disease
  3. Recognize key steps for optimally evaluating patients with known or suspected chronic thromboembolic disease
  4. Assess pertinent information from right heart catheterizations and further information that can be obtained
  5. Recognize chronic thromboembolic disease; the current treatments and those on the horizon
  6. Discuss or describe the evolution of prostanoid therapy

Payment is required at the time of registration. Only registrations accompanied with payment will be accepted. Please register in advance. Fees include course materials, continental breakfast, lunch, refreshments and continuing education credit.

REFUND/CANCELLATION POLICY

A full refund of registration fees, less a $15 administrative fee, will be available if requested in writing and received by September 22, 2017.  No refunds will be made after that date. A $30 fee also will be charged for returned checks. (Please note that if you fail to cancel by the deadline and do not attend, you are still responsible for payment.) KU Medical Center Continuing Education reserves the right to cancel the course and return all fees in the event of insufficient registration. The liability of the University of Kansas Medical Center is limited to the registration fee. The University of Kansas Medical Center will not be responsible for any losses incurred by registrants, including but not limited to airline cancellation charges or hotel deposits.
