Course Registration


The Neurology Update is presented by academic-affiliated physicians and provides an up-to-date review of clinical issues related to neuromuscular disease, stroke, epilepsy, multiple sclerosis, movement disorders, pain and medical errors.

This program is designed for neurologists.




Upon completion of this course the participant should be able to:
  1. Review common surgery complications and potential patient deficits following surgery.
  2. Review CIDP diagnostic criteria and discuss common pitfalls leading to misdiagnosis of CIDP.
  3. Identify potential therapeutic targets for future pharmacotheray in stroke.
  4. Describe the specific invention or advancements that were made by the historical figures in the field of neuroscience.
  5. Identify, diagnose and treat status epilepticus effectively.
  6. Identify clinical syndromes that are part of the prodromal phase of synucleinopathies.
  7. Discuss updates in diagnostic criteria for Parkinson’s disease and dementia with Lewy bodies.
  8. Describe current treatment approaches for the synucleinopathies.
  9. Describe the specific invention or advancements that were made by the historical figures in the field of neuroscience.

REFUND/CANCELLATION POLICY

A full refund of registration fees, less a $15 administrative fee, will be available if requested in writing and received by October 21, 2017. No refunds will be made after that date. A $30 fee also will be charged for returned checks. (Please note that if you fail to cancel by the deadline and do not attend, you are still responsible for payment.) KU Medical Center Continuing Education reserves the right to cancel the course and return all fees in the event of insufficient registration. The liability of the University of Kansas Medical Center is limited to the registration fee. The University of Kansas Medical Center will not be responsible for any losses incurred by registrants, including but not limited to airline cancellation charges or hotel deposits.
