Course Registration


This symposium aims to disseminate key practice-changing information presented in the 2017 Annual Meeting of the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO). In order to promote education and facilitate delivery of high-quality care of physicians and other professionals caring for patients with cancer, data of relevance for integration into clinical practice in the management of breast, lung, gastrointestinal, genitourinary, and hematologic malignancies will be discussed.  

This symposium is designed for practicing medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, surgical oncologists, hematologists, oncology nurses, APRNs, physician assistants, pharmacists and other clinicians in the region.

This event will take place in Regnier Auditorium on the University of Kansas, Edwards Campus


At the completion of this symposium, participants should be able to:
  1. Report on new information and advances regarding breast cancer diagnosis and treatment from the national ASCO 2017 meeting.
  2. Evaluate the latest advances in the management of gastrointestinal tract malignancies.
  3. Review the results of the trial using atezolizumab in urothelial cancer.
  4. Discuss recent data on immunotherapy and compare with non-immunotherapy for incurable head and neck cancer.
  5. Review the results of recent immunotherapy clinical studies in lung cancer
  6. Review updates on thyroid and salivary gland malignancies.

Payment is required at the time of registration. Only registrations accompanied with payment will be accepted. Please register in advance. Fees include course materials, continental breakfast, refreshments and continuing education credit.

REFUND/CANCELLATION POLIC - A full refund of registration fees, less a $15 administrative fee, will be available if requested in writing and received by September 8, 2017. No refunds will be made after that date. A $30 fee also will be charged for returned checks. (Please note that if you fail to cancel by the deadline and do not attend, you are still responsible for payment.) KU Medical Center Continuing Education reserves the right to cancel the course and return all fees in the event of insufficient registration. The liability of the University of Kansas Medical Center is limited to the registration fee. The University of Kansas Medical Center will not be responsible for any losses incurred by registrants, including but not limited to airline cancellation charges or hotel deposits.
