Course Registration

The purpose of this program is to present the most current established and emerging technologies.

The faculty is composed of experts in the field who will discuss the strengths and limitations of these

new advancements.



 At the completion of this symposium, participants should be able to:

1. Discuss the clinical applications for the added dimension of 3D echo
2. Further understanding of the numerous, and sometimes less common, presentations of severe aortic stenosis
3. Review new lab accreditation standards and how this impacts an echo lab
4. Discuss the function and challenges in properly evaluating prosthetic heart valves
5. Discuss the role and process of using ultrasound contrast in the setting of myocardial perfusion imaging
6. Understand the updated criteria for the evaluation of diastolic function
7. Learn the emerging role of 3D anatomical printing to more accurately guide pre-procedural patient evaluation
8. Discuss efforts and methods for quality improvement and efficiency in the echo lab
9. Gain deeper understanding of cardiac amyloidosis
10. Discuss how the many aspects and parameters of Echocardiography relate to one another

REFUND/CANCELLATION POLICY

A full refund of registration fees, less a $15 administrative fee, will be available if requested in writing and received by February 20th, 2017. No refunds will be made after that date. A $30 fee also will be charged for returned checks. (Please note that if you fail to cancel by the deadline and do not attend, you are still responsible for payment.) KU Medical Center Continuing Education reserves the right to cancel the course and return all fees in the event of insufficient registration. The liability of the University of Kansas Medical Center is limited to the registration fee. The University of Kansas Medical Center will not be responsible for any losses incurred by registrants, including but not limited to airline cancellation charges or hotel deposits.
